Shipping from Dammam to Lebanon with Gulf International Shipping works like this: we collect your furniture, boxes or stock in Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, Jubail, Qatif or Al-Ahsa, drive it north to the Al-Haditha border post, cross Jordan in transit to Jaber, transfer the load in Nassib’s customs yard to a truck that is allowed to travel through Syria, and enter Lebanon at Masnaa for delivery anywhere in Lebanon, from Beirut and the Bekaa up into the mountains and out to the far north and south. Expect about 9–12 working days for Beirut or the Bekaa. A small parcel starts at SAR 276, ten clothing cartons at SAR 550, a complete bedroom at SAR 2,760, a car no older than 8 years at SAR 4,140, and air cargo from SAR 32/kg.
Of all Saudi cities, Dammam sits farthest from Lebanon by road. The drive to Beirut is about 1,850 km, and a shipment passes through four countries and three customs stops on the way. None of that makes the move hard, but it does make the small things count: how furniture is packed for a long, hot road and a second handling at Nassib, who deals with the paperwork at Masnaa, and how many extra days each part of Lebanon adds. This guide is for Lebanese families in Khobar, Dhahran and Dammam, for people finishing contracts in Jubail and Al-Ahsa, and for Eastern Province traders selling into Lebanon, using the prices and timings we actually work with.

How far is Dammam from Lebanon, and which way does the shipment go?
There is no direct road from Saudi Arabia into Lebanon: Jordan and then Syria lie in between. So a shipment from the Eastern Province heads north-west across the Kingdom to the Al-Haditha border post near Qurayyat, the exit we use for cargo from the east and the centre. Its Jordanian counterpart is Al-Omari. Before the truck arrives we book its slot on the Fasah platform, because Saudi land ports run on appointments, and a truck that turns up outside its window simply waits.
From Al-Omari the truck travels through Jordan as transit cargo: it is not unloaded and does not clear Jordanian import customs, all the way to the Jaber crossing on the northern border. Facing it on the Syrian side is Nassib, and that is where the Saudi truck’s journey ends. From Nassib the load continues on a truck permitted to cross Syrian territory, around Damascus to Jdeidet Yabous, and over into Lebanon at the Masnaa crossing in the Bekaa valley. From Masnaa the deliveries fan out: the Bekaa first, then Beirut and Mount Lebanon over the Dahr al-Baidar road, then the North and the South.
Note: the full Dammam–Beirut distance is about 1,850 km and varies slightly with the route the truck takes inside the Kingdom.

Why is the load moved to another truck at Nassib?
Because Syria does not currently let Saudi trucks enter its territory. Haulage inside Syria is limited to Syrian trucks. The only exception is a vehicle passing through to another country with customs officers escorting it from the entry gate to the exit gate. In practice your shipment is unloaded in the Nassib customs yard and loaded onto the vehicle that will take it on to Masnaa. At Gulf International Shipping we plan for this stop from packing day: every piece is numbered against the inventory, the load is photographed before it leaves Dammam, and our team checks the count during the transfer and tells you when the second truck is moving.
Be wary of “our truck drives you straight to Beirut”
No Saudi truck currently drives through Syria into Lebanon. Anyone promising that either does not know today’s route or is not telling you that your load will be transferred at Nassib without anyone watching it. Ask before you book: who receives my goods at the transfer, and how are they packed for a second handling?
Masnaa: the cargo gateway into Lebanon
Masnaa is the commercial crossing in operation between Syria and Lebanon today, and it is where Lebanese customs inspect and clear your shipment. It opens daily for long hours, but peak times and queues shift from week to week, so we confirm how the crossings are running before each departure and arrange the crossing slot in advance. Because Masnaa is in the Bekaa, Zahle, Chtaura and the surrounding towns are the quickest drops, with Beirut next after the climb over the mountains and down to the coast. For the full picture, read the Masnaa border crossing guide; the Syrian leg is covered in the Nassib crossing guide.
How long does shipping from Dammam to Lebanon take?
Dammam has the longest transit time of any Saudi city, because the truck covers most of the Kingdom before it even gets to Al-Haditha. We build four potential delays into each timetable: the appointment window at the Saudi port, transit through Jordan, the transfer and clearance at Nassib, and inspection at Masnaa. Borders do not keep clock time, so instead of a single number we give a range that already includes the usual waiting. These figures are for a dedicated load that leaves as soon as it is packed:
Note: these are estimates; congestion at the three border points and the pace of clearance can move them. Groupage needs an extra 3–5 days for the truck to be filled, and an air parcel takes 3–5 days from door to door.
If your arrival in Lebanon is tied to a fixed date, such as a new job, a flat handover or the start of school, tell us when you book. We set the loading date to leave two or three days of slack for possible waiting, and when time is tight we suggest sending essential bags and documents ahead by air while the furniture follows by road.
Shipping prices from Dammam to Lebanon
Competitors shipping to Lebanon do publish Dammam prices, so our table is built straight on them, with every figure set under the cheapest rate published for that item. Where Dammam pages publish nothing for an item, such as a full kitchen, a container load or a car, we borrow the Riyadh figure, as Riyadh is the closest city that publishes one. Each row shows two numbers: the first is where Gulf International Shipping prices start, the second the usual ceiling for larger volumes.
Note: a road shipment from Dammam is on the road for roughly 9–12 working days before Beirut or Bekaa delivery; by air, allow 3–5 days from collection to delivery.
Starting price per item from Dammam
These are the items Eastern Province customers ask about most, each with its “from” price:

Where do we collect in the Eastern Province?
We collect from any address in the region and fix the pickup day around the next truck heading north. The base price barely changes between towns; what changes is the kind of shipment each one tends to send:
Dammam
Family homes and flats, warehouse stock from the industrial city, and expats’ boxes before the holidays.
Khobar and Dhahran
Villa and compound furniture, and families moving back to Lebanon for good after years of work.
Jubail
Belongings of staff finishing contracts, plus spare parts and light equipment from companies.
Qatif and Saihat
Household furniture, appliances and family gifts.
Al-Ahsa and Hofuf
Dates and sealed food, home furniture and small trade consignments.
Abqaiq and Ras Tanura
Staff-housing contents, and cartons and suitcases grouped into a shared load.
Household removals from Dammam and Khobar to Lebanon
Household furniture is most of what we carry from the Eastern Province to Lebanon, usually for a family closing its time in the Kingdom and returning to Beirut, the mountains or the North. Work starts with a survey, by photos on WhatsApp or a visit, where we measure the volume in cubic metres and decide what is taken apart and what travels whole. The dismantling and packing crew then needs one day for a flat or two for a large villa, and everything is loaded in the order it will come off in Lebanon.
Packing for this particular road is different from a move across town, for two reasons. First, the trip is long and crosses hot desert, so timber and leather get layers that stop rubbing and stand up to heat, and appliances have their water and refrigerant removed. Second, the load will be handled by hand at Nassib, so cartons get reinforced corners, glass goes in separate, clearly marked boxes, and heavy pieces sit on pallets that are easy to lift. On arrival our team in Lebanon reassembles bedrooms, wardrobes and curtains if you ask.

- Bedrooms and wardrobes: taken apart, with their fittings bagged and taped onto the matching panel.
- Sofas and majlis seating: film, then a moving blanket, then card on the corners.
- Fridges and washers: fully dried, drum locked, fridge shipped upright.
- Air conditioners: gas recovered, both units removed, pipes wrapped.
- Glass and ornaments: bubble wrap, and wooden crates for valuable pieces.
- Rugs: rolled round a tube and wrapped against damp and dust.
Can furniture be stored in Dammam before shipping?
Yes. Many families hand back the house weeks before they fly, or wait for a flat in Lebanon to be ready. We wrap everything and hold it in a secure indoor store until the truck is due, and it goes straight on board without being repacked. The storage charge depends on how much space and for how long, so request a quote on WhatsApp with the number of pieces and the expected period.
Customs exemption for returning Lebanese
If you are Lebanese and returning to live permanently after years in the Kingdom, your used household goods may enter duty-free once in a lifetime. The conditions Lebanese customs usually apply are: more than three consecutive years living abroad, a permanent return, a list of contents stamped by Lebanon’s embassy in Riyadh plus a statement confirming your residence, arrival of the shipment within three months of your own entry into Lebanon, goods that are used rather than new, and no sale for three years. New items and cars are not covered. The conditions are confirmed before shipping, and we prepare the list in the format the embassy asks for. Every condition is explained in our guide to Lebanon used household goods customs.
Timing your flight matters
The three months run from your own arrival in Lebanon, not from the shipping date. We suggest loading your furniture a few days before you fly, so it arrives while you are there and you can attend clearance in person, as is normally required.
Commercial cargo from the Eastern Province to Lebanon
Traders and factories in Dammam, Jubail and Al-Ahsa have two options: a full truckload (FTL) that leaves on a truck dedicated to you on the date you choose, or a part load (LTL) that takes space on a shared truck and waits for it to fill, which is cheaper but three to five days slower. Either way we prepare the Fasah declaration and the documents Masnaa will ask for.
One point matters a lot to Saudi exporters. Saudi Arabia and Lebanon both belong to GAFTA, the Greater Arab Free Trade Area. Saudi-made goods that travel with a certificate of origin therefore pay no Lebanese customs duty, although 11% Lebanese VAT is still charged on their value. Goods of non-Saudi origin pay duty that varies by tariff line. Get the certificate of origin from the manufacturer or the chamber of commerce before loading; without it, a duty-free shipment becomes a dutiable one.
- Food and Al-Ahsa dates: sealed at source; commercial imports need approval from the relevant Lebanese authorities.
- Spare parts and light equipment: on wooden pallets with a part-number list.
- Small industrial equipment: from SAR 1,840 per palletised unit.
- Building materials and heavy goods: priced on weight and volume, so request a quote.
Air freight from Dammam to Beirut
When a shipment cannot spend two weeks on the road, air is the answer. Middle East Airlines operates flights between King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and Beirut, with timings subject to the airline’s schedule. Gulf International Shipping’s air rate starts at SAR 32 per kg, and door-to-door delivery from the Eastern Province to your Lebanese address takes about 3–5 days, including booking, clearance at both airports and delivery.
Air suits official documents, personal medicines allowed on prescription, small electronics, urgent spare parts and students’ luggage ahead of the new semester. Flying furniture or big appliances multiplies the cost compared with trucking them, so we only recommend it in exceptional cases. The page on air freight from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon explains volumetric weight and the types of air shipment.
Is there sea freight from Dammam to Lebanon?
Some pages advertise sea freight from Dammam port to Lebanon in one or two weeks, which does not fit the map: Dammam is on the Arabian Gulf, and a ship from there to Beirut has to sail round the Arabian Peninsula and through the Suez Canal. The realistic sea option starts at Jeddah Islamic Port and runs to Beirut or Tripoli. It suits full containers and commercial cargo; allow around 15–25 days from pickup to delivery. From the Eastern Province, the road through Jordan is faster for furniture, parcels and cars, which is why it is the route we use. If you have a full commercial container and prefer the sea, request a quote and we will compare both routes for you.
Shipping a car from Dammam to Lebanon
We accept any passenger car aged 8 years or less, because Lebanon refuses older private cars and goods vehicles past five years. The car must be left-hand drive, as Saudi cars are, and must travel empty of personal belongings. Gulf International Shipping carries it on an enclosed or open carrier from Dammam from SAR 4,140, and it is moved at Nassib onto a carrier licensed to continue to Masnaa.
On the Saudi side the car is exported electronically through Absher and declared on Fasah; any traffic fines must be paid and any finance lien released first. In Lebanon, customs value the car by its worth and age, and duty, consumption tax and VAT follow from that valuation; cars also sit outside the returning-resident household exemption. See car shipping from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon for the rules and documents.

Prohibited and restricted items for Lebanon
The main things a Lebanon shipment cannot carry, whether because of Lebanese rules, transit through Syria and Jordan, or Saudi export controls:
- Weapons, ammunition, knives and swords, narcotics, flammables and gas cylinders.
- Cars for private use older than eight years, goods vehicles older than five, and any car with the wheel on the right.
- Used medical and radiological equipment, gas pocket lighters, and 900 MHz cordless phones.
- Cedar seeds and seedlings, non-iodised salt, used tyres, waste and scrap.
- Goods with misleading origin marks, and counterfeit goods.
- Commercial quantities of medicine without a licence, and commercial food without the required approvals.
- Antiquities, historical artefacts and subsidised goods whose export the Kingdom restricts.
Wireless devices and electronics are sometimes inspected, and pets need a rabies vaccination certificate. Not sure about something? Photograph it and ask us before packing day.

Delivery in Lebanon: from the Bekaa to the North and South
The Bekaa is the first stop after Masnaa, so Zahle, Chtaura and the West Bekaa get the fastest deliveries. After that the road climbs to Dahr al-Baidar and drops down to Beirut and its suburbs, the Metn, Baabda and Aley. Keserwan, Jbeil and Batroun need about one extra day, while Tripoli, Koura, Zgharta, Bsharri and Akkar in the North, and Sidon, Tyre, Nabatieh and Marjayoun in the South, need one to two.
Old towns and mountain villages have their own character: narrow lanes, steps and steep roads a large truck cannot reach. In those cases we agree a suitable parking point with the receiver, carry the pieces from the nearest spot, and warn you in advance if the address needs special arrangements. That is why we need the full address, a local mobile number for whoever receives the goods, and a few words on how to find the entrance.

What does shipping from Dammam to Lebanon cost, and how is it worked out?
The final price is built from several parts. For furniture, volume matters more than weight; for heavy goods, weight matters more than volume. These are the factors that push the cost up or down:
- Volume in cubic metres: the basis for furniture and household goods, and every dismantled piece saves space
- Weight: what counts for parcels, machinery and dense cargo
- Type of truck: shared is cheaper; dedicated is faster and better for a whole house
- Packing: wooden crating for antiques and sensitive appliances costs more but protects them during the Nassib transfer
- Area in Lebanon: Beirut and the Bekaa cost less to reach than northern, southern or mountain addresses
- Insurance and clearance: clearance from SAR 276, insurance priced on what the goods are worth
A rough example for a family in Khobar: a complete bedroom from SAR 2,760, a large fridge from SAR 1,380, a washer from SAR 920, an AC unit from SAR 825 and ten clothing cartons from SAR 550. The starting points add up to SAR 6,435, which is only a guide; once the volume grows to a whole house, a dedicated truck charged per cubic metre may come out lower than adding items one by one, and we calculate both for you.
The freight price does not include any duty or VAT Lebanese customs may charge. Those are paid to the state, not to the shipping company, and we tell you about them before release.
What is the cheapest way to ship from Dammam to Lebanon?
- Shared load: ideal for boxes, parcels and a handful of furniture items, at the cost of 3–5 extra days.
- Road freight by the kilo: grouped parcels from SAR 11 per kg.
- Ship less: selling old or heavy furniture in Dammam before you go can save more than it is worth.
- Full dismantling: wardrobes, beds and tables taken apart take up about half the space.
- Certificate of origin for traders: it removes Lebanese duty on Saudi-made goods.
- Returnee exemption: if you qualify, it saves the duty on your used household goods.
Common mistakes when shipping from Dammam to Lebanon
- Getting the inventory certified after you fly, and losing the three-month exemption window.
- Buying a car to ship without checking its year of manufacture, then finding it is over 8 years old.
- Leaving personal belongings inside a car that is being shipped.
- Using one thin wrap on cartons that will be handled several times on the way.
- Trusting promises of fast sea freight from Dammam.
- Forgetting a Lebanese phone number or a detailed address for the receiver, which delays the final drop.
- Mixing new items with receipts into a used-goods exemption shipment.
