If you want a shipping company from Riyadh to Lebanon that tells you exactly where your goods change trucks, Gulf International Shipping picks up furniture, cartons, trade goods and cars up to 8 years old from your home or warehouse in the capital, takes them north out of the Kingdom at Al-Haditha and across Jordan under transit to the Jaber post, then reloads them inside the Nassib customs yard onto a Syria-cleared truck; that truck continues to Jdeidet Yabous, crosses into Lebanon at Masnaa and delivers to Beirut and the Bekaa within about 8 to 12 working days. From Riyadh a small parcel starts from SAR 138, consolidated freight from SAR 11 per kg, a full bedroom from SAR 1,840, a majlis from SAR 3,680, a car on a carrier from SAR 4,140 and air freight to Beirut airport from SAR 32 per kg.
Three groups ask us most about shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon: Lebanese families finishing their stay in the Kingdom and taking their furniture home, students and expatriates sending cartons and suitcases to relatives in Beirut, Mount Lebanon and the Bekaa, and traders supplying Saudi-made goods to the Lebanese market. Each group weighs time, cost and paperwork differently, so this page follows their questions: which way the truck goes, how many days each Lebanese governorate takes, what it costs, and what is needed from you in Riyadh and from the receiver in Lebanon.

How does cargo get from Riyadh to Beirut? The road route stage by stage
There is no road border between Lebanon and either Saudi Arabia or Jordan, so a truckload from Riyadh travels through three countries before it reaches your door: Jordan, then Syria, then Lebanon. It looks long on a map, yet it is a settled truck corridor that carries goods every day. What matters is knowing where the truck changes and where the paperwork stops, because those two points decide the real transit time.
From Riyadh districts to the Al-Haditha border post
Once loaded, the truck takes the Qassim road, then Al-Jouf up to Al-Qurayyat, and reaches Al-Haditha on the Jordanian border. Before arrival we book the crossing slot online through the Fasah platform and upload the contents list and authorisation, so the truck never waits in the yard without an appointment. This Saudi leg usually takes one to two days, depending on when loading finishes.
Through Jordan from Al-Omari to Jaber
On the Jordanian side the truck is processed at Al-Omari, facing Al-Haditha, and continues under transit rules without unloading, so no Jordanian duty is charged on what it carries. It then heads north, bypassing Amman, to the Jaber post on the Syrian border. Jaber is a Jordanian crossing open around the clock, and waiting times there change with the season and the number of trucks.
Nassib: why is your load moved to another truck?
Syria does not currently admit Saudi trucks, so our truck’s run ends at the Nassib customs yard. There the load is transferred, with our team supervising, onto a truck that is allowed to cross Syria, which heads for Damascus and then west to Jdeidet Yabous. This second handling is why we pack furniture as though it will be loaded twice, and why we number and photograph cartons before sealing them, so the count at Nassib matches the count in Riyadh.
Be wary of “the same truck all the way to Beirut”
Any offer claiming a Saudi truck will pull up outside your home in Beirut does not reflect the current route. Ask the company directly: who moves the load at Nassib, and who receives it at Masnaa? At Gulf International Shipping we tell you before you book and send photos of the load after the transfer.
From Jdeidet Yabous to Masnaa and over Dahr al-Baidar
After leaving Syria at Jdeidet Yabous, the truck enters Lebanon through the Masnaa crossing, the commercial gateway for goods between Syria and Lebanon. It operates daily for long hours; we book the crossing time ahead and confirm each border post is running normally before a truck sets off. At Masnaa, Lebanese customs carry out inspection and clearance, and the first delivery zone is the Bekaa, Chtaura and Zahle, before the truck climbs the Dahr al-Baidar road and descends to Beirut and Mount Lebanon.

How long does shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon take?
Count on about 8 to 12 working days by road from Riyadh to Beirut or the Bekaa, measured from loading day to delivery day. The lower figure applies when the load is complete, the papers are ready and Jaber and Nassib are quiet; the higher one shows up in peak seasons and for consolidated loads that wait for the truck to fill. Distance inside Lebanon also counts: Masnaa sits in the Bekaa, and each region beyond it adds time.
These are estimates rather than fixed dates, because waiting times at Jaber, Nassib and Masnaa shift from week to week. What we commit to is telling you each stage the shipment clears: leaving Al-Haditha, reaching Nassib, the transfer to the second truck, and entering Lebanon.
Approximate shipping prices from Riyadh to Lebanon
With Gulf International Shipping, a small parcel from Riyadh to Lebanon costs from SAR 138 and a full bedroom from SAR 1,840, under what shipping offices in the capital advertise. In each cell the lower number is our starting price and the higher one a typical ceiling for bigger volumes or more distant areas.
Note: by road, Riyadh to Beirut or the Bekaa usually means 8–12 working days; border queues and clearance speed at the three crossings decide where in that range you land; consolidated loads add 3–5 days, and air freight takes 3–5 days.
Detailed price list from Riyadh
What makes up the cost of a Riyadh to Lebanon shipment?
The final price is not set by the item alone but by the space the shipment takes up in the truck, its weight and the type of service. Small heavy pieces such as a washing machine are charged by weight, while large light pieces such as sofas are charged by volume in cubic metres, which is why we ask for photos rather than relying on a general description.
- Volume and weight: they set how much of the truck the shipment occupies, the biggest factor in the price.
- Shared or dedicated truck: shared is cheaper and slower; dedicated is faster and waits for nobody else.
- Packing: multi-layer wrapping and wooden crates for delicate pieces add cost but protect furniture through both the Riyadh and Nassib handling.
- Delivery area: Akkar and the far South cost more than Beirut or the Bekaa, as the road beyond Masnaa is longer.
- Floor and lift: upper floors without a lift, in Riyadh or Beirut, need extra hands.
- Insurance: optional, priced on the value you declare.
A worked example
A family in Al-Narjis sends a bedroom (from SAR 1,840), a fridge (from SAR 920), a washing machine (from SAR 825) and a sofa set (from SAR 1,380): the starting total is about SAR 4,965, plus customs clearance from SAR 276, so the shipment starts at around SAR 5,241 before optional insurance. The final figure is set once we see the photos and know the Lebanese area.
Collection from Riyadh districts and nearby towns
We reach every district of Riyadh: Hittin, Al-Narjis, Al-Arid, Al-Yasmin and Al-Malqa in the north; Al-Rawdah, Al-Naseem, Al-Rimal and Al-Munsiyah in the east; Al-Suwaidi, Dhahrat Laban and Al-Uraija in the west; Al-Aziziyah, Al-Shifa and Badr in the south; and Olaya, Al-Malaz, Al-Mursalat and Al-Sulimaniyah in the centre. We also collect in Al-Kharj, Diriyah and Al-Muzahmiyah, and in Buraydah and Unaizah in Qassim, which sit on the truck’s road north.
In compounds and towers we coordinate with building management the day before loading to reserve the lift and a spot for the truck; in villas we start with the upper rooms so pieces do not pile up at the door. If you must hand back your flat before the truck departs, we can collect the furniture early and hold it in a locked warehouse until the truck leaves, with storage charged by duration and volume.
Moving furniture from Riyadh to Lebanon: dismantled and packed for two handlings
Furniture bound for Lebanon is loaded in Riyadh and handled again at Nassib, so our packing is designed for exactly that journey. We dismantle bedrooms and wardrobes, number every piece and bag its screws with the same number, give wood a bubble layer, a sheet of corrugated board and a tight outer film, and put glass and mirrors in wooden crates. Air conditioners are drained of gas and fridge and washer doors are secured before loading.

Arabic majlis seating and large rugs take more space than their weight suggests, so we roll and strap the rugs and compress majlis cushions in sealed bags to save room without damage. On arrival at your home in Lebanon the crew reassembles bedrooms and wardrobes and places every piece in the room you choose.
Customs exemption for returning Lebanese
If you are Lebanese and moving back for good, your used belongings can enter duty-free once in your life, as long as you spent over three consecutive years abroad, carry an inventory stamped by the Lebanese embassy in Riyadh with proof of residence, the goods land within three months of your own arrival, and you keep them unsold for three years. New items pay duty and tax, and a car is not covered. Lebanese customs have the final word, so we verify the conditions with them before loading; details are in our Lebanon used household goods customs guide.
Shipping cartons, suitcases and student belongings from Riyadh to Beirut
Not every Lebanon shipment is a whole house. Many Riyadh requests are cartons of clothes, kitchenware and gifts for family, or a student’s bags heading back to university in Beirut ahead of the term. These go by consolidated freight, sharing a truck with other shipments, so you pay only for your weight, from SAR 11 per kg, or a flat parcel rate from SAR 138 up to 5 kg.
- Write the receiver’s name and Lebanese phone number on every carton and number them (1 of 6, 2 of 6…).
- Aim for 25–30 kg per carton at most; heavier boxes tend to burst when they are restacked at Nassib.
- Carry small valuables and documents yourself or send them by air, not inside clothes cartons.
- If the goods are for several people in Lebanon, tell us so each part goes to its own address.

Commercial shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon: full or part loads
Lebanese traders source food, plastics, household supplies and spare parts from Riyadh, and we offer them two options: a part load (LTL) for a limited number of pallets, with goods up to 50 kg priced from SAR 640, and a full truckload (FTL) from SAR 5,520 for a load the size of a 20 ft container, or SAR 7,360 at 40 ft size. A full load waits for nobody else’s cargo, so it runs closer to the shortest transit time.
Lebanon normally waives customs duty on Saudi-made goods backed by a certificate of origin, as both countries belong to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, but 11% Lebanese VAT is still due. Ask your Riyadh supplier for the certificate of origin and commercial invoice before loading, because without the certificate the exemption can turn into full duty. Food needs approval from the relevant Lebanese authorities, so we check the product type with you before booking.
Air freight from Riyadh to Beirut
When a shipment cannot wait ten days or more on the road, air freight is the answer. Middle East Airlines flies from King Khalid International Airport to Beirut, the flight itself takes about four hours, and cargo travels in the aircraft hold. At Gulf International Shipping air freight from Riyadh to Lebanon starts at SAR 32 per kg and reaches the receiver door to door in 3–5 days, subject to flight availability and Beirut airport clearance; schedules can change.
Air suits documents, permitted prescription medicines, small electronics, urgent spare parts and the things a student needs before term starts. Flying furniture or big appliances rarely makes sense, as road costs a fraction of the price. For chargeable weight and how to pack for the hold, read air freight from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon.
Car shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon
Our car service to Lebanon covers left-hand-drive vehicles aged 8 years or less, loaded on an open or enclosed transporter, because Lebanon does not allow imports of older passenger cars or right-hand-drive vehicles, and transport vehicles may be no more than 5 years old. Shipping a car from Riyadh starts from SAR 4,140, and the car rides on the carrier as transit cargo through Jordan and Syria rather than being driven.
- In Riyadh: the car’s export is completed through Absher and its data entered in Fasah, along with the registration card and ID or iqama copy.
- Inside the car: no personal belongings, as Lebanese customs will not accept them; send your things as a separate shipment.
- In Lebanon: Lebanese customs set the duty, consumption tax and VAT based on what the car is worth and its year of manufacture, payable on arrival.
Before booking, check the manufacturing year on the registration card; past 8 years the car will not be accepted in Lebanon whatever its condition. Full details and papers are in car shipping from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon.
Is there sea freight from Riyadh to Lebanon?
Riyadh is inland, and sea freight to Lebanon starts from Jeddah Islamic Port in containers to the port of Beirut or Tripoli. It suits traders shipping full containers of goods and takes roughly 15–25 days door to door, after the container is trucked from Riyadh to Jeddah. Furniture, cartons and cars travel overland via Jordan and Syria instead, the quicker option with fewer handoffs.
Documents required for shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon
Prohibited items when shipping from Riyadh to Lebanon
Your shipment passes three customs authorities, each with its own list. Below are the items we refuse to load or that need a permit:
- Weapons, ammunition, swords and knives, and narcotics.
- Passenger cars over 8 years old, transport vehicles over 5 years old, and right-hand-drive cars.
- Motorcycles: we do not currently offer them because of transit restrictions.
- Gas lighters, gas cylinders, flammables and hazardous chemicals.

- Counterfeit goods or goods with false origin marks, and goods made in or originating from Israel.

Delivery across Lebanon: from the Bekaa to Akkar and the South
The delivery round begins in the Bekaa after Masnaa, moves on to Beirut and the mountain districts, and finishes in the North and the South. If your address is in the mountains or on a narrow street in old Beirut, we switch the goods to a smaller truck that reaches the door, and the crew carries every piece up to the right floor.

Cutting the cost of a Riyadh to Lebanon shipment
- Consolidated freight: if you are not in a hurry, share the truck and pay for your weight from SAR 11 per kg.
- Cut the volume before pricing: shipping cheap old pieces can cost more than buying replacements in Lebanon.
- Combine family shipments: one larger shipment costs less than several small ones to relatives in the same area.
- Book early: demand rises before the end of the school year and holidays, and queues at the crossings grow.
- Use the exemption: if you meet the returnee conditions, prepare the certified list before shipping so you avoid duty you need not pay.
Common mistakes that delay Riyadh cargo on the way to Lebanon
- Shipping a car without checking its year, then finding at the border that it is over 8 years old.
- Leaving personal belongings inside a shipped car.
- Writing just “household items” on the list rather than counting cartons and saying what is in each.
- A returning owner arriving in Lebanon more than three months after the shipment, which voids the exemption.
- A wrong Lebanese phone number for the receiver, leaving the truck waiting at the door.
- Weak home packing that cannot survive the second handling at Nassib.
