Looking for a shipping company from Taif to Lebanon that knows the whole road? Gulf International Shipping loads your belongings at your home in Al-Shafa, Al-Hada or central Taif; our truck descends to Makkah and turns north past Madinah and Tabuk to leave the Kingdom at Halat Ammar; after a sealed transit of Jordan to Jaber, the load is shifted at Nassib customs onto a truck authorised to cross Syria, entering Lebanon at Masnaa to reach the Bekaa first and then Beirut and the other governorates. The distance is roughly 1,800–1,900 km and the trip takes about 8–12 working days to Zahle and Beirut. Our rates begin at SAR 92 for a small carton, SAR 550 for a sofa, SAR 920 for a complete bedroom and SAR 3,680 for an entire household.
Taif is one of the Saudi cities furthest from Lebanon by road, yet its prices are not the highest: shipping companies in Taif publish lower rates than other cities for many items, and we price below them. Two things set Taif shipments apart: loading in hilly districts where some streets are narrow and winding, and a long distance that makes good packing a necessity rather than a luxury. On this page we follow your shipment day by day, show the prices and answer questions on customs, cars and air freight.

Your shipment from Taif to Lebanon, day by day
The question we hear most from customers in Taif is “where are my things now?” So we have mapped the trip as it normally runs in working days. The figures are approximate, and waiting at the borders can move a stage earlier or later:
We message you at each key point: the truck leaving Taif, crossing Halat Ammar, arriving at Nassib, the transfer to the second truck being completed, and entry at Masnaa. If you need to change the delivery address or date, tell us before the shipment reaches Masnaa so it is easy to arrange.
Loading in Taif: Al-Shafa, Al-Hada and the city centre
In central Taif, in districts such as Al-Salamah, Al-Faisaliyah, Nakhb, Al-Qaim, Al-Radf and Shihar, the truck can usually reach the front door without trouble. In Al-Shafa and Al-Hada the roads climb and twist and some entrances are tight, so we send a medium truck to load at the house and transfer the goods to the large truck at a consolidation point in the city, or we load directly if the road allows. We decide after the survey and state it in the quote, so no item comes as a surprise.

Taif mornings are cool and damp for much of the year, and that matters when we pack. Wood sealed in film while it still holds overnight moisture can sweat inside the truck once it drops into the heat of the desert road, so we start loading after the dew has dried and place a moisture-absorbing layer of card between the film and the wood. This is what we do with every Taif shipment:
- Beds, wardrobes and children’s rooms are dismantled, and each panel’s number is written on tape beside it.
- Sofas and mattresses are wrapped in film and then blankets, and table legs go into separate cartons.
- Mirrors, marble, chandeliers and glassware go into wooden crates, because they will be lifted at least twice.
- Fridges and washers are drained, and the washer drum is locked with transit bolts where available.
- A numbered photo inventory: you keep one copy, and our representative carries another to Nassib and Masnaa.
If you are moving a whole home and need to store your things for a week or more before you travel, we offer short-term storage in a closed warehouse and ship on the first available truck. For a full-house move, our guide to furniture moving from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon goes through the planning room by room.
Approximate shipping prices from Taif to Lebanon
Our starting point is about 8% below the lowest price published by shipping companies from Taif to Lebanon. The first figure in each cell is where our price begins; the second is a common upper level for the item as its size grows or its destination in Lebanon gets further away:
Note: road shipments from Taif usually arrive within 8–12 working days in the Bekaa and Beirut and need one or two more days for the North and South, depending on border traffic and clearance; air freight via Jeddah takes 3–5 days.

Cover for the goods is available if you want it, with the premium based on what you declare. To compare Taif with Riyadh, Jeddah, Tabuk and the other cities, each city has its own table on shipping prices from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon.
What goes into the price of a Taif to Lebanon shipment?
No single number fits every shipment. The final price comes from a handful of questions we ask you: how big or heavy are the goods? Is space on a shared truck enough, or do you need a whole truck? Is there glass or marble that needs wooden crates? Can a large truck get into your Taif street? Which part of Lebanon is it going to? And do you want insurance, or full clearance handled on your behalf?
A worked example: an employee in Shihar sends his family in Chtaura a complete bedroom, two sofas, a large fridge, an air conditioner and 6 medium cartons. The bedroom from SAR 920, the two sofas from 1,100, the fridge from 825, the AC from 460, and the six cartons around SAR 1,100 if each weighs about 20 kg. The total starts from about SAR 4,400, plus clearance from SAR 276. At that volume we also offer the whole-household rate from SAR 3,680, which may work out cheaper.
Save before you ship
Put small things in same-size cartons rather than bags, and get rid of worn-out furniture before the survey. Every cubic metre you save comes straight off the price.
Through Jordan and Syria: where does the truck change, and why?
There is no Saudi–Lebanese frontier and no Jordanian–Lebanese one either, which leaves Syria as the only corridor for trucks. Our truck crosses Jordan from Mudawwara in the south to Jaber in the north in transit mode, meaning the load is neither opened nor cleared there. On reaching Nassib its journey stops, because Saudi trucks are not currently allowed to drive inside Syria. There, in the customs yard, your goods are unloaded and put on a truck authorised for transit, supervised by our representative who matches the numbers to the inventory, and the new truck continues to Jdeidet Yabous and on to the Masnaa crossing.

This changeover is why we take extra care with packing from Taif in particular: a longer road means longer vibration, and a second loading means another chance of a scratch. So the second load is stacked in the same order, heavy at the bottom and fragile on top. For details of these stages read the Masnaa crossing guide and the Nassib crossing page, and if you also have family in Syria see shipping from Saudi Arabia to Syria.
Before every trip
We check border status in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon before the truck sets off and book the crossing slot in advance. Masnaa opens every day for long hours, but some days are busier than others, and we will tell you straight away if that affects you.
The Bekaa comes first: delivery to Zahle and Chtaura, then Beirut
Once the shipment clears Masnaa customs it is already in the heart of the Bekaa, so people in Zahle, Chtaura, Qab Elias, Bar Elias, West Bekaa and Rashaya receive first, followed by Baalbek and Hermel to the north-east. From there the truck crosses Dahr al-Baidar and drops towards the capital, its suburbs, the Metn and the Chouf; from Beirut, deliveries fan out along the coast, northward to Tripoli and Akkar or southward to Sidon, Tyre and Nabatieh.

A shared load usually adds 3–5 days to these times, because the truck waits for other consignments from Hijaz cities. In mountain villages we move the goods to a smaller vehicle before arrival if the road narrows, and call the recipient a day ahead.
Air freight from Taif to Beirut via Jeddah airport
There is no direct flight from Taif to Beirut, so we drive your shipment from Taif to Jeddah’s international airport, roughly 170 km down the road, and from there it flies on Middle East Airlines to Beirut according to the flight schedule. Rates start from SAR 32 per kg and the shipment reaches the recipient in roughly 3–5 days; sometimes a day is added for the road leg from Taif to the airport.
Air suits whatever is light and urgent: a passport or attested certificates, personal medicines on prescription, a wedding gift or clothes for an upcoming occasion. Above 30–40 kg, road is usually the better deal. To weigh rates against weight, open air freight from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon.
Car shipping from Taif to Lebanon
Lebanese rules admit a passenger car only if it is left-hand drive and at most 8 years old; transport vehicles must be 5 years old or less. An eligible car rides from Taif to Lebanon on a closed or open car carrier and stays on it through Syria as transit freight, from SAR 4,140. Once in Lebanon, the duty, excise and VAT bill is set by customs from the car’s estimated value and model year.
- Before shipping: export the car through Absher, keep the istimara valid, and make sure there is no lien or fine that would block export.
- The car is handed over empty, since personal items inside delay clearance.
- If you are Lebanese living abroad and want to bring your car in temporarily, Lebanese customs law provides for temporary entry, and we go through the requirements with you before loading.
- We do not currently ship motorcycles to Lebanon.
Not sure your car qualifies? Send us its make and model year, and read car shipping from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon first.
Returning to Lebanon from Taif: when is your furniture duty-free?
Lebanese citizens who have spent over three unbroken years in Taif or elsewhere in the Kingdom and are moving home permanently can bring their used household contents in without customs duty, a privilege granted only once. The exemption has requirements that must be ready before the truck leaves Taif:
- 1Contents list
An itemised inventory that the Lebanese embassy in Riyadh has stamped, plus its letter confirming you lived in Saudi Arabia and are going back for good. - 2Arrival timing
Your goods have a three-month window after you land in Lebanon, so we plan the loading date around your flight. - 3Your papers in Lebanon
Your passport stamped on entry, a freshly issued ikhraj qaid, your rental contract registered at the municipality, and the mukhtar’s proof of address. - 4Attendance and commitment
You attend clearance yourself and do not sell the goods for three years after entry.
Not covered by the exemption
Unused new items, quantities that do not make up a complete household, and cars, all of which pay duty and 11% VAT. Check the current conditions with Lebanese customs before the truck leaves, and see Lebanon used household goods customs rules for every condition.
Taif gifts and family parcels to Lebanon
Taif sends gifts that families in Lebanon love: Taif rose water and rose oil, honey and packed dates, alongside clothes, books and students’ belongings. These travel on our shared truck, starting at SAR 92 for a small box and SAR 184 for one of 5–20 kg, and hand them over personally in the Lebanese town you choose.
Liquids such as rose water are packed in sealed bottles inside closed bags and then in a lined carton, so a cracked bottle cannot soak the other cartons. Large quantities of food meant for sale need special Lebanese approvals, while family quantities normally pass without trouble. See also cartons and parcels shipping to Lebanon.
Shipping goods and equipment from Taif to Lebanon
For Taif shops, farms and workshops a trade consignment of up to 50 kg starts at SAR 735 in a shared load, industrial equipment from SAR 1,840, and loads over two tonnes from SAR 4,600 on their own truck. Under the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, which includes Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, a Saudi origin certificate takes Lebanese duty off the bill, leaving just 11% VAT to pay.
Chilled cargo such as frozen food starts from SAR 920 and needs a refrigerated truck and special arrangements at Nassib, so let us know well before booking. Service details in international land freight and customs clearance.
What paperwork do you need to ship from Taif to Lebanon?
- Personal effects and furniture: an item list, your ID or iqama copy, and who will receive the goods in Lebanon with their phone number.
- Customs exemption: the list certified by the Lebanese embassy and the residence statement, then the Lebanese papers listed above.
- Car: istimara, Absher export and the owner’s ID, plus ownership papers for clearance in Lebanon.
- Commercial goods: invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and a copy of the commercial registration, with the Lebanese importer’s details.
Fasah registration and the border slot are our job. A longer document list for every case is in shipping company from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon.
Items you cannot ship to Lebanon
Before sealing your cartons, make sure nothing from this list is inside. One prohibited item can hold the whole shipment at the border:
- Weapons of any kind, ammunition, swords and daggers, and drugs.
- Gas lighters, gas cylinders and hazardous chemicals.
- Used medical and radiological devices, and 900 MHz cordless phones.
- Cars older than 8 years (passenger) or 5 years (transport).
- Cedar seeds and seedlings, non-iodised salt and scrap.
- Goods with misleading origin details or banned under Lebanese law, and commercial medicines without a licence.
- Antiquities, and subsidised products barred from leaving Saudi Arabia.
Food in commercial quantities, wireless and satellite equipment and pets are all restricted items that need approvals or certificates before shipping.

How can you cut the cost of shipping from Taif to Lebanon?
For a few items: the shared truck, priced per item or per kg from SAR 11. For a whole home: the whole-household rate from SAR 3,680 is often lower than adding up item prices. Either way, costs fall if you receive in the Bekaa or Beirut rather than a remote mountain village, book before the summer peak, and clear out what you do not need before the survey.
Mistakes that delay a Taif to Lebanon shipment
- Fixing the flight before booking the shipment: the goods may miss the three-month exemption window if the two dates are not planned together.
- Relying on shop cartons: flimsy supermarket boxes will not survive 1,800 km and two loadings.
- Hiding a new item among used ones: it can cancel the exemption for the whole shipment or delay inspection.
- An incomplete Lebanese address: the town name alone is not enough; add the nearest landmark, the floor and a working number.
