Approximate shipping prices from Saudi Arabia to Jordan
This table sums up what customers ask about most. The first figure is the Gulf International Shipping starting price; the second is the usual market ceiling for the same item.
Note: road freight to Jordan usually takes 3 to 6 working days depending on the departure city, delivery city and customs clearance; air freight takes 24 to 48 hours.
Where do these prices come from?
None of these figures are guesses. We collected the prices competing shipping companies publish on their Jordan pages, took the lowest “from” figure for each item in each city, and set our price 5–10% below it. Where nobody publishes prices for a city, we used the nearest city that does.
- Table A: based on Riyadh rates and applied to Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Makkah, Taif and Saudi-wide shipping.
- Table B: based on Tabuk rates and applied to Tabuk and Madinah, Tabuk being the nearest priced city.
That is why some Tabuk items are cheaper than Riyadh (cartons, for instance) and others higher (a whole home). The market items themselves differ: Tabuk’s “whole home” row covers a 3–5 room house, while Riyadh’s “apartment” row starts from a smaller flat. The fair comparison is like for like, not heading for heading.

Shipping prices from Tabuk and Madinah to Jordan

Furniture moving prices to Jordan: room, apartment or villa
Furniture is priced by volume, not weight, because a light sofa takes more truck space than a heavy box of books. So we start with a survey of the pieces and cartons, then choose between per-item pricing and a whole-home rate.
- One bedroom: from SAR 1,100, or SAR 1,020 from Tabuk and Madinah
- Studio or room with dismantling and reassembly: from SAR 1,650
- Two- to three-room apartment: from SAR 3,250
- Whole 3–5 room home from Tabuk: from SAR 5,350
- Medium or large villa: from SAR 7,850
Moving two or three rooms plus a majlis? The full-apartment rate usually beats adding up the items. And if you are a Jordanian returning after a year or more abroad, your used furniture may be exempt from customs duty — which can change your final bill more than the freight price itself. Carton and parcel prices to Jordan by weight
Cartons and suitcases are priced per piece within a weight limit, or per kg for small shipments. From Tabuk and Madinah a carton up to 20 kg starts from SAR 65 and a suitcase up to 30 kg from SAR 100. From Riyadh and the other cities a carton of personal items starts from SAR 140, and loose items from SAR 9 per kg.

How to cut your carton costs
- Fill each carton to the top — empty space lets it crush and get charged by volume.
- Use cartons of the same size so they stack tightly.
- Put books and heavy things in small cartons and clothes in large ones.
- Send the family’s things in one shipment rather than a parcel every week.

Car shipping prices from Saudi Arabia to Jordan
A sedan on a shared carrier starts from SAR 1,100, an SUV on a private hydraulic flatbed from SAR 2,050, and luxury cars in an enclosed carrier are quoted by model. The price is the same from every city, as published car rates exist only for Riyadh. Before paying, check your car is eligible: Jordan’s new rules ban electric cars over 3 years old and cars classed as salvage in their country of origin. Commercial shipping prices: pallet, dyna or trailer
Traders and companies have three price levels from Riyadh and the other Table A cities:

A shared load is cheaper but waits for the truck to fill; a full load costs more but leaves on your date and is opened only for your cargo. Once you pass 4 or 5 pallets, compare with a full dyna — it may work out cheaper. More in goods shipping from Saudi Arabia to Jordan.
Air freight prices from Saudi Arabia to Jordan
Air freight to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman arrives within 24 to 48 hours from Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam. Market players don’t publish a per-kg rate on this route, and we won’t guess one: the price depends on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher, and on the contents. Send the weight and dimensions on WhatsApp 0568829975 for a same-day quote. Air suits documents, spare parts, permitted medicines and urgent parcels. See air freight from Saudi Arabia to Jordan.
What is and isn’t included in the price?

Jordanian customs charges and your total cost
The freight price is one thing; Jordanian customs charges are another. The key points:
- Returning expats: Jordan Customs exempts the furniture and effects of a citizen returning after a year or more abroad, once, with proof that residence abroad has ended and an original packing list
- Processing fee: 10 JOD in stamps, with a standard processing time of two hours according to the Jordan Customs service guide
- Repeat exemption: someone who received a full exemption and went abroad again cannot get another for 5 years
- New appliances: new appliances still in their boxes are usually not exempt
- Non-exempt goods: usually subject to customs duty and 16% sales tax
Why this matters for your budget
A family shipping an apartment from SAR 3,250 that meets the exemption conditions may pay far less at customs than a family shipping the same volume with non-exempt new appliances. Sort out your paperwork before shipping — see documents required for shipping to Jordan.
Work out your own shipping cost: worked examples
Example 1: a family from Riyadh to Amman
A 3-room apartment (from SAR 3,250) + a sedan on a shared carrier (from SAR 1,100) = from about SAR 4,350, before any extras.
Example 2: a student from Tabuk to Irbid
6 cartons up to 20 kg (6 × 65 = SAR 390) + 2 suitcases up to 30 kg (2 × 100 = SAR 200) = from about SAR 590.
Example 3: a trader from Jeddah to Zarqa
3 pallets in a shared load (3 × 555 = SAR 1,665) = from SAR 1,665. At 6 pallets, a full dyna from SAR 3,250 is usually better value.
